MISS TANYA

Tanya was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. She gained an appreciation for music and movement early in life and danced competitively for over ten years as a young girl. She was also a member of and choreographer for Jordan High School's Dance Company.

During college, Tanya taught ballet, jazz, and hip hop to students aged 5-25 at several studios as well as the University of Utah Field House. 

Tanya graduated from the University of Utah in Health Promotion and Education, then went on to earn her teaching certificate in secondary education from Brigham Young University Hawaii. After college, she taught health and physical education for three years at American Preparatory Academy, where she also coached the school's dance company. Now she's a full-time mom and part-time dance teacher! 

Tanya has a passion for health and wellness, which she incorporates into all of her dance and fitness classes. 

 

MISS EMILY

Emily was raised in Bountiful, Utah. She is the oldest of six girls. Emily discovered her passion for dance at the age of 12. In junior high, she began training at Dance Impressions, where she enjoyed working with world-famous dancers and choreographers Travis Wall and Joey Dowling. 

In high school, Emily joined Creative Arts Academy's Touring Company, where she was privileged to study under Odyssey's Eldon Johnson, Jason Celaya, and Ballet West's Kate Linsley. At CAA she performed in roles as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother and the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland.

As a member of Bountiful High School's Drill Team, Emily's team took state her sophomore year in 2011. Following high school, she served an LDS mission in Tokyo, Japan. Emily currently studies at BYU, where she hopes to pursue a career in graphic design and developmental psychology. In addition to dancing, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and re-reading the Harry Potter series.

 

 

 

 

MISS EMMY

Emmy was born and raised in Alpine, Utah. She began dancing at age 3. Throughout her youth she studied modern dance, ballet, tap and jazz. By the time Emmy entered Jr. High, she knew that she wanted to be a dance educator. 

She was a member and choreographer of the Lone Peak High School Dance Company, was State Sterling Scholar in Dance, and earned a full scholarship to BYU, where she studied modern dance. She was also privileged to be a member of the modern performing company, The Dancers' Company. 

After graduating, Emmy taught at BYU and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Dance from the University of Utah. She also taught in the school's dance program for three years. 

Emmy is married and a mom to two beautiful children. After taking some time off to enjoy family and cultivate new hobbies, she is excited to start teaching again and share her love of dance with children.  

 

 

 

MISS MARISSA

Marissa was born in Omaha, Nebraska but grew up in Cedar Hills, Utah, where she graduated from Lone Peak High School. She began dancing at age 3.

From age 8-18 Marissa danced at The Dance Conservatory, where she trained in ballet, jazz and modern. She was dancing on pointe by age 13. Her company at the Dance Conservatory was awarded the judge’s choice award at the Utah Dance Festival for the past three years.

Marissa has a deep love for dance and teaching dance. She hopes to instill this love and her passion into each and every one of her young students! From 2013 – 2015 she even taught dance to adults with special needs. Marissa is currently studying nursing at UVU, where she also takes ballet classes.
