INSTRUCTORS

     ALLI MILES | HIGH FITNESS   Allí has loved sports and fitness since she could walk. She jumped headfirst into gymnastics at age 3 and devoted the majority of her adolescence to training and competing. She transitioned to power tumbling, running track, and cheerleading through high school. Then followed three years of cheering on the BYU Cougars on the co-ed Cheer Squad, where she was a captain her junior year.   Following college, she went to law school and had a couple of really cute kids. When she's not slaying their imaginary dragons or her clients' legal dragons, she hits as many fitness classes as possible. She attended to her first High Fitness class in early 2015 and was immediately hooked!  She took the plunge and became a certified instructor in September 2015 and hasn't looked back!

      TANYA RASMUSSEN | ADULT DANCE & FITNESS     Tanya gained an appreciation for music and movement early in life and dance competitively for over ten years as a young girl. She was also a member of and choreographer for Jordan High School's Dance Company. During college, she taught ballet, jazz, and hip hop to students aged 5-25 at several studios as well as the University of Utah Field House.  After graduating in Health Promotion and Education, she taught health and physical education for 3 years at American Preparatory Academy, where she also coached the school's dance company. 

 

TANYA RASMUSSEN | ADULT DANCE & FITNESS

Tanya gained an appreciation for music and movement early in life and dance competitively for over ten years as a young girl. She was also a member of and choreographer for Jordan High School's Dance Company. During college, she taught ballet, jazz, and hip hop to students aged 5-25 at several studios as well as the University of Utah Field House.

After graduating in Health Promotion and Education, she taught health and physical education for 3 years at American Preparatory Academy, where she also coached the school's dance company. 

     TIFFANY BEAUCHAMP | YOGA    Tiffany has been practicing yoga for about 10 years. She became drawn to yoga as a good post-gymnastics alternative; it seemed like a more sustainable interest in years to come, yet provided a wide range of new challenges—in a good way! At first the yoga poses looked fun and interesting to try, but there is much more to yoga than meets the eye. Yoga's breathing techniques are linked to a healthier mental, emotional, spiritual and physical state of being.    Tiffany found her roots in Ashtanga yoga early on, studying under Amy Williams, founder of 3B Yoga in Provo, Utah. Tiffany started teaching in 2008 at the University of Utah and since has taught children's yoga, prenatal yoga, offers private lessons, and gets to teach in her neighborhood at Tanya's Dance & Fitness Studio. She loves bringing her community together, helping people feel good, and sharing her passion for yoga.

      CARLY BRECHEISEN | ZUMBA     Carly is a mother of three and has an absolute passion for exercise in disguise! She believes it is so important to get a break from life and get lost in the music, if only for an hour.    Carly has been doing Zumba since 2010, after she had her first baby. She was in search of something to help her lose her baby weight and she found it and more! Let's just say she's never dreaded exercise ever again! She cannot wait to share her passion with you!

  EMMY BARKER | BARRE FITNESS   Emmy began dancing at age 3 and continued throughout her youth, studying modern, ballet, tap and jazz. She was a member and choreographer of the Line Peak High School Dance Company, was State Sterling Scholar in Dance, and earned a full scholarship to BYU, where she studied modern dance. She was also privileged to be a member of the modern performing company, The Dancers' Company.   After graduating, Emmy taught at BYU and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Dance from the University of Utah. She also taught in the school's dance program for three years. Emmy is married and has two beautiful children. 

EMMY BARKER | BARRE FITNESS

Emmy began dancing at age 3 and continued throughout her youth, studying modern, ballet, tap and jazz. CLASS SCHEDULE

MONDAYS @ 8:00 PM | HIGH FITNESS with ALLI

Stong, simple, easy-to-follow choreography set to fun and intense cardio-peak tracks; this plyometric-type interval training class will have you jumping, squatting, tucking, and grooving your way to a stronger, healthier body! 

TUESDAYS @ 8:00 PM | ADULT DANCE & FITNESS with TANYA

First we go through a series of high-intensity conditioning moves set to upbeat music, then we focus on dance technique and choreography—alternating between jazz and hip hop. No dance experience required!

WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 PM | BARRE FITNESS WITH EMMY

This fun cardio workout, set to upbeat and motivating music, combines fundamental movements from dance, pilates and yoga. It has targeted repetitive sequences that sculpt and transform your physique into that of a dancer—long and lean without bulking up muscle. We use the barre and exercise equipment such as small hand weights and a yoga mat. Everyone is capable of rocking this class, and no dance experience is needed! 

THURSDAYS @ 8:00 PM | YOGA with TIFFANY

This mixed-level yoga class, open to experienced yogis and beginners alike, focuses on improving your strength, flexibility, stamina, balance and much more. Bring a mat if you have one—if not we've got you covered!

SATURDAYS @ 8:00 AM | ZUMBA with CARLY

Dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it! Zumba incorporates both dance and aerobic elements in easy-to-follow choreography, with hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo elements. 

PRICING

Your first class of each type is free! After that, there are 3 options:

  • $5 per class drop-in
  • $20 for a 5-class punch pass, valid at all classes
  • $35 for a 30-day unlimited pass, valid at all classes
